London Irish Supporters Club (LISC)
Welcome to London Irish Supporters’ Club (LISC). With many changes to personnel on both the playing and coaching side, we look forward to the 2012/2013 Season with both hope and expectation. We have said farewell to many long serving servants of the club, so those joining us have some rather large shoes to fill.
In the Aviva Premiership we welcome London Welsh to the fold and look forward to the “exiles” derbies – we travel to the Kassam in early December and play host to the Welsh in April. The season starts with the London Double Header, an away fixture for us this time against Saracens, Gloucester are the season’s first visitors to the Madejski Stadium, we entertain Leicester Tigers the weekend before Christmas and Worcester Warriors will be our guests for our St Patrick’s Party.
In Europe we have an Amlin Cup campaign to look forward to, there are a couple of trips to the South-West of France in October and January to excite our travelling support, both Bordeaux-Bègles and Mont-de-Marsan are new opponents for us and we have a couple of extra matches against Gloucester, which are never dull affairs.
The LV= Cup sees us in pool 3 (along with Saracens, Wasps & Scarlets) with matches against pool 2 sides - Sale (h) & Leicester (a) in November and Worcester (h) & Cardiff (a) in January & February.
Off the field, the club finally has planning permission to develop the new training facilities at Hazelwood, so there will be a lot going on off the field over the next few years.
LISC’s membership numbers are strong at nearly 1000 members. We all look forward to a new era and exciting times ahead. Come and join us in supporting our great team and club.
