- Racing Metro
Our first encounters with Racing Metro brought about mixed results on the pitch, a great victory in Paris was followed by a disappointing defeat back at the MadStad.Off the pitch, we hope both sets of supporters had a great time, and that many new friendships have been formed.
After the match in Paris, LISC presented a comerative plaque to the Racing Metro Supporters Club, who in turn presented us with a signed shirt.
For the benefit of those who were not able to make the trip to Paris, the signed shirt was re-presented at the MadStad.
- Meet The Judge II – Back to Blackett
On Wednesday 23rd October, we had the pleasure of our second evening in the company of HHJ Jeff Blackett, the RFU’s Disciplinary Officer.Unlike rather too many of our players so far this season, our time in front of the judge was purely for pleasure.
A full report of the evening will be published in the near future.
LISC would like to thank HHJ Jeff Blackett for what I’m sure all who attended will agree was a very enjoyable and informative evening.
- Rugby for Heroes Calendar 2012
News Date: 11th November 2011
LISC is proud to be involved with promoting the 2012 Rugby for Heroes Calendar.Rugby for Heroes 2012 calendar features many of your favourite premiership players, including our own TopsyOjo, Dan Bowden and DelonArmitage, who are representing their clubs and supporting our brave men and women. All proceeds of the calendar go to the charity, which funds courses helping our wounded and traumatised men and women.
These courses assist in managing the dramatic changes they experience in their lives. These courses teach how to take control of your life, achieve your full potential and helps them back into our communities.
You can purchase your calendar for just £10 from the LISC stall outside the North stand on match days – we are open from approximately 2 hours prior to kick-off until 45 minutes before kick-off.
Rugby for Heroes is a fundraising organisation founded within the rugby community and is actively supported by many past and current top-flight Rugby players.
Calendars can also be ordered on-line from the Rugby for Heroes website
- Official London Irish Pubs

It’s official! London Irish now has its own network of Official London Irish Pubs. Officially launched on 1st January, there are now nearly 30 Official London Irish Pubs spread throughout Reading and the surrounding area, with more being added all the time – look for the Official Pub logo. Each Official Pub provides a great place for London Irish (and all rugby) supporters to meet up before and after each match, watch televised away matches and between matches enjoy special events, competitions and promotions supporting London Irish. Many Official Pubs also offer supporters special match day discounts and promotions on food and drinks.
Each Official Pub sells tickets to most home matches directly from the bar, and for those pubs outside of town, also offers the Pub to Match service – a minibus transport service taking supporters from their Official Pub to Madejski and returning them to their pub after the match. Pub to Match is available as a transport-only service (ideal for Season Ticket holders) and a combined match ticket/transport package for other supporters. Pub to Match is also available for supporters wanting to travel to away matches.
More information about the Official London Irish Pubs and the Pub to Match service can be found on the special website www.londonirishpubs.co.uk.
The aim is to ensure that all supporters will have an Official London Irish Pub close to them – so if there isn’t one near you, please tell us! – you can nominate your pub on the website.
